The current U.S. ambassador is Mr. Tobin Bradley, who assumed the post on February 2, 2024, in the Republic of Guatemala.

Ambassador Bradley has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), where he was Director at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and was Consul General in Matamoros.
