To process your first passport or carry out a renewal, the following steps are essential:

  1. Schedule an appointment through the Guatemalan consular service appointment system.
  2. To process your passport (either for the first time or renewal), present the original of your recent birth certificate (not older than 6 months) issued by RENAP with your CUI number, or your DPI along with a photocopy of both sides.
  3. The cost of the procedure is $65.00 dollars, payable by Money Order.
